For many years the UK has relied on cold water storage tanks and copper cylinders for its domestic hot and cold water supplies. Since the early 80’s unvented cylinders or mains pressure systems have now taken over as the preferred choice for many. Unvented cylinders replace the need for cold water storage tanks as they are installed with controls on the incoming main and store and heat the water directly from the mains, giving potable balance cold and hot supplies to all outlets, so no need for tanks or shower pumps and no noise.

They can be heated in various ways from immersion, boiler and solar. But having the right pressure and flow rate is crucial in getting the right design and performance, to avoid customer disappointment.

This is a very efficient cleansing process to central heating systems. The object is to restore systems with circulation and boiler noise caused by sludge and corrosion deposits to optimum operation.

Boiler manufacturers will not guarantee any new boiler if the heating system is not chemically clean. The British Standards and the Benchmark demand thorough cleaning of the heating system.

All gas appliances in a landlord owned property which is rented out, must be checked for gas safety every 12 months.
